Our story
Founded on one honest idea.
In 1978, Walt Calderwood opened a one-room office on Main Street because he was tired of watching neighbors get sold the only policy an agent was allowed to sell. He built the agency on a simple promise: we work for you, not for a single insurance company.
Nearly fifty years later, his daughter Gail runs the place, and the promise has not changed, only the number of carriers we can shop for you. We compare more than thirty of them so you get the right coverage at an honest price, explained in plain English.
We stay independent and local on purpose. Big enough to cover the house, the business, and the boat, small enough that the person who wrote your policy is the one who picks up when you call.
